RNC Seeks Even More Corporate Control of our Elections

This week the Republican National Committee (RNC) filed a brief in federal court seeking to overturn a 1908 law (yes, 1908!) that banned corporations from giving directly to candidates. The RNC claims that due to the recent Supreme Court decision in Citizens United v.

It makes sense he’d be hosting an event for her—she is a former Bush Administration official and longtime Republican Party insider.

 

Court says "No" to raising unlimited soft money

As reported in the Washington Post, a federal court today shot down a bid by the Republican National Committee to raise unlimited soft money contributions from corporations and individuals.
