Technicality Keeps TX Prosecutor from Investigating Reed

Citing a statute of limitations, A Texas prosecutor declined to investigate whether Ralph Reed violated Texas lobbying laws, reports The Washington Post.

Texans for Public Justice (TPJ), along with several other groups, had requested an investigation into whether Reed should have registered as a lobbyist while working on anti-gambling campaigns in the state in 2001 and 2002. Read TPJ's orginal press release and complaint here. Too bad a technicality like a statute of limitations got in the way of digging deeper into this.
