New York Loophole

The Brennan Center for Justice recently declared New York's campaign finance laws among the worst in the country and The New York Times offers a staggering example of why.

 

Wealthy donors, already able to benefit from high campaign donation limits, can set up limited liability corporations to circumvent these donations limists and pour even more cash into campaign war chests. Sure, it's legal - and puts even more power in the hands of a very few, very wealthy, very influential individuals.
