And the long saga of the Alaskan corruption probe continues. We've reported extensively on the goings on up there.

Today's installment involved Bill Allen, the former CEO of Veco, accused with bribing legislators for political favors. In testimony during the trial of former Alaska House Speaker Pete Kott, Allen said that he bribed three state legislators to get what he wanted out of the state house.

This has so far been the biggest political scandal in Alaska history and it's not over yet. One legislator has resigned, three current and former legislators have been indicted, and two former Veco executives (including Allen) have been convicted.

That's probably why an effort to bring Clean Elections to Alaska is gaining steam. To see our graphic depiction of the probe and to find out how you can help, click here.
