Public Campaign Action Fund National Campaigns Director, David Donnelly, has a letter to the editor in the New York Times today in response to an article on the recent retirement announcement by Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.).
"The Fair Elections Now Act, introduced by Senator Durbin, would free all senators from the need to “woo donors.” The legislation would give federal candidates the option of running for office with limited public financing and small donations. Senator Dodd, a co-sponsor of the bill, should use his new freedom to champion this legislation, too," said Donnelly.
