Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) are traveling to New York City this week for meetings with Wall Street executives--complete with a big money fundraiser at the St. Regis Hotel in Manhattan.
As Public Campaign reported this morning, Boehner and Cantor are no strangers to Wall Street executives. The two have received millions of dollars from Wall Street interests over the years, including more than $5 million combined in 2010 alone.
While it's being billed as a trip to talk about the debt, with legislation aimed at gutting consumer protections moving through the House, you know there are other items on the agenda.
