Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (R) raised an eye-popping $13.1 million from January 18th through April 23rd for his recall election, with a donor list “that reads like a who's who of some of the richest people in America.”

It’s not really a surprise, of course. Since being elected, Walker has championed policies that benefit these wealthy Americans that have been filling his coffers at the expense of everyday people.

Wisconsin Democracy Campaign has provided a list of all the donors giving $1,000 or more during the period. Here are some key facts:

  • Nineteen percent, or $2.4 million, came in donations of $20,000 or more. Fourteen percent, or $1.89 million, came in donations of $50,000 or more.
  • Wisconsin Billionaire Diane Hendricks gave $500,000, the largest donation. Billionaires Richard Devos and Shel Adelson each handed over $250,000. Seven people each made $100,000 in donations.
  • In fact, eight members of the Forbes 400 list of the America's wealthiest people made donations of $25,000 or more to Walker’s campaign during the period, totaling nearly $1.3 million.
