In a recent debate, Congresswoman Nan Hayworth (R-N.Y.) and her opponent Sean Patrick Maloney (D) were asked about our campaign finance system. Hayworth dithered and Maloney nailed it. It's a perfect example of how candidates and elected officials should be making the case for a government truly of, by, and for the people. Watch it:.
Public Campaign Action Fund and Friends of Democracy PAC recently put together a briefing book for candidates on how to talk about money in politics. Check it out.
