Washington, D.C.—Public Campaign Action Fund Executive Director David Donnelly released the following statement on the hire of Ilyse Hogue as the new president of NARAL Pro-Choice America
"Ilyse's work as a Public Campaign board member and as the co-founder and co-director of Friends of Democracy PAC has been invaluable to our efforts to rethink money-in-politics activism. She will inspire millions of Americans in her new role at NARAL just as she's inspired us to act with our hearts and brains as one," Donnelly said.
Hogue served as a board member of Public Campaign until taking a leave of absence in 2012 to start Friends of Democracy super PAC, an organization created to defeat members of Congress who oppose common sense reform of money in politics and to elect champions of reform. Seven of the eight members the group targeted in 2012 were defeated.
